What Psychart is, and what it isn't

Psychart calculates your astrological birth chart from real astronomical data and offers an interpretation of it. Astrology is not science. Psychart is provided for reflection and entertainment only.

Nothing here is medical, financial, legal, psychological or professional advice of any kind, and it must not be used as a substitute for any of them. We make no prediction about your future and no promise about any outcome in your life. If a reading suggests something about your health, your money, your relationships or your decisions, treat it as a prompt to think, never as a finding, and never as a reason to act against professional advice.

What we do promise

One thing, and we take it seriously: the astronomy is correct. Positions are computed with the Swiss Ephemeris and independently cross-checked against a second engine derived from NASA data. Historical timezones come from the IANA database, including archived data that most software no longer carries.

Where we cannot know something, we say so rather than guess. If you don't give a birth time, we will not invent an Ascendant for you. If your birthplace and date fall somewhere the timezone record is ambiguous, the chart will tell you.

We do not promise that any interpretation is true, accurate, or meaningful. Interpretation is not a factual claim. The calculation is.

Using the tools

Every tool on Psychart is free to use on screen.There is no subscription and no paywall in front of any chart or tool. You may use the tools for yourself, and you may generate a chart for someone else if you have their agreement. Please don't try to break, overload or scrape the service. We may withdraw access if you do.

You can create an account if you want somewhere to keep birth details you use often. That is a convenience and nothing more: an account unlocks nothing. What we store and how is set out on our Privacy page.

Because the on-screen tools are free, we don't guarantee they will always be available, and we may change or withdraw any of them. We will not start charging for something you are part-way through.

The free reading

If you give us an email address and your birth details we email you a short PDF reading, free of charge. There is nothing to cancel and nothing to pay. We keep your email address as described on our Privacy page, and we send you anything beyond that reading only if you ticked the separate box asking us to.

Buying a PDF report

What you are buying. A report is a PDF document made from the birth details you give us, covering the area named on its product page. It is digital content. Nothing is posted to you.

Price and payment. The price is shown in pounds sterling on the product page and again at checkout, before you pay. Payment is taken by Shopify in our shop, not by this site, and Shopify issues your receipt. We never see your card details.

How you receive it. After you pay we email you a private link. You open it, enter the birth details the report should be made for, and confirm that you want it made now. We then email the PDF to the address on your order. If you make a typo you can use the link again, up to three times in all, to get a corrected PDF.

Your right to cancel, and when you give it up. You have the right to cancel within 14 days of your order without giving a reason. Until you ask us to make your PDF, you keep that right in full and we will refund you.

When you enter your birth details and tick the box asking us to make your PDF now, you ask us to start supplying the digital content straight away, and you acknowledge that once it has been delivered you lose your right to cancel and to a refund. We make the PDF specifically for you at that moment, which is why. We record the time you confirmed.

If something is wrong with the PDF. Digital content must be of satisfactory quality, fit for its purpose and as described. If a PDF does not arrive, will not open, or does not match what we described, tell us and we will repair or replace it or, if we cannot, refund you. This does not limit the rights you have under the Consumer Rights Act 2015.

What we do not promise. A report is a reflection on tradition, not a prediction, and a reading you disagree with is not a fault. If you tell us a position in the report is wrong, we will check it against the same birth details and, if we got it wrong, fix it.

You keep any rights you have in the birth details you enter. We claim nothing over them. See our Privacy page.

Our liability

We do not exclude or limit our liability to you where it would be unlawful to do so. That includes liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, and for any other liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited under the Consumer Rights Act 2015.

Subject to that: we are not liable for any loss that was not reasonably foreseeable, and we are not liable for any decision you take on the basis of a reading. Astrology is not a basis for decisions about your health, your finances, your safety or your relationships, and we are telling you so in advance, plainly. For the free tools and the free reading there is no price to measure a loss against. For a paid report, and subject to the paragraph above, our total liability to you is limited to the price you paid for it.

Nothing in these terms affects your statutory rights as a consumer.

If something goes wrong

Tell us. If you think your chart is wrong, say so and we will reproduce it exactly and check it against a second independent engine, a disputed chart is a measurement, not an argument. If we got it wrong, we will fix it and say so.

Changes

We may update these terms. The date at the top tells you when they last changed. A change never applies to an order you have already paid for. If we ever start charging for something that is free today, we will say so plainly and in advance, and we will not apply it to anything you already have.

Law

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and you may bring proceedings in the courts of England and Wales. If you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland, you may also bring proceedings in your own courts.
